Ben is a great little guy. If he has an interest in something he amazes me with his quest for perfection and will spend hours making sure that he is happy with the end result. He is a quiet unassuming guy without an ego but is his own man and knows what he wants out of life. He is a good friend and always good company with a wicked sense of humour. Ben has one aim, to be a pro-snowboarder and I'm sure that no one will convince him otherwise. People always say that there is an aura with Ben that makes people want to be around him. I for one am a big fan, still I am his dad.

WHAT/WHO GOT YOU INTO IT?
It was a really bad Winters day In the Grampian Region. My dad could not get to work. The road to Glenshee was clear so my mum booked a snowboarding lesson for my dad, my sister and me. We had a great day and I was hooked.

I am riding the K2 Slayblade 158, a great Pipe and all round shred stick

The freedom and adrenalin rush

2010 Winter Olympics and a good part in a snowboard movie

WHAT ASPECT OF SNOWBOARDING GIVES YOU THE MOST SATISFACTION (POWDER, KICKERS, HALFPIPE, COMPETITIONS, BIG AIR, CLIFF DROPS, ETC.)?
Love all disciplines but I have to say the technicality of pipe riding at the moment.

Riding off the cliff edge in Chamonix and Dislocating my knee.

Wear an helmet, aways speed check and make sure you check out the landing.

Always enjoy it. If your not enjoying it, go and do something that you do enjoy.
